This wide angle picture shows the overall orientation of the position of the
patient reclined in an adjustable bed where both the computer monitor and
computer are suspended above the computer user. Once in the reclined position, the monitor is suspended over the chest
and lap area of the patient at eye level. This orientation eliminates
any stress in the neck. Therefore, there is no strain on the neck to
look up or down at the monitor or to look to either side of the monitor.
In this arrangement, the upper back and neck are completely supported by the
adjustable bed and cradled by gravity! |

 |
The structure of the black pipe is similar in structure to a gymnists'
uneven parallel bars. Straps are used to secure the computer equipment
into the best orientation for the computer user. Notice that the patient and lap desk are aligned centered squarely to
the monitor. The computer is also suspended to allow easy access to
the side of the monitor. An adjustable hospital bed is positioned that elevates the feet to the
highest position and slightly elevates the head. |
 |
This arrangement allows the patient to lie in the bed in a reclined
position underneath the computer monitor which is suspended at arm's length
above the chest of said patient. A small pillow and stuffed teddy bear
is placed at the head of the bed in some photos. Notice how an
inclined tray holds the keyboard at a steep angle has a supportive leg on
the outside of each side of the patient. |
 |
Using bars that are 8 feet in length allows enough room for both a bed
and a conventional recliner so all computer users can discuss a computer
project in great comfort. This allows enough room for a small desk or
table to allow other items to be available for any project. |

This earlier photo which utilizes a metal grid further illustrates the steep incline of the
monitor and keyboard in line with the hospital bed. |
