In response to customers requesting more extreme flexibility in arranging
the sections; for example, placing a keyboard module on each side of their
chair, Comfort has developed the ErgoFlex Keyboard. This keyboard has only
the three keyboard sections without the metal track and disk positioning
system. Available with longer cables, each section can be rotated to any
position, and separated as far as the user wishes. Numeric sections can be
placed on the left or in the middle. It has the same full programmability as
the original Comfort Keyboard.

The Goldtouch keyboard -
position it to relieve hand and wrist twisting. Value priced.
Complete Goldtouch
system
Flat keyboards make your hand, wrist, arm and shoulder muscles work
harder since "doing the twist" or "pronation" takes considerable
muscle energy. The preferred position is the repose position which is
similar to that taken naturally by your hands if they are allowed to
float in a weightless environment.

A unique new
keyboard for both comfort and productivity: the Contoured Kinesis
Classic.
The Organic keyboard lives!
Two years of research and testing produced the
Kinesis keyboard, prescribed by physicians an therapists for heavy user
keyboarders.
New USB 510 Advantage Pro
model
It offers unique features like:
true split - for left/right keys to improve arm
positioning. Fits large and small users.
Optimal lateral tilt - thumbs up posture minimizes forearm
tension without the pitfalls of excessive tilt.
Separate thumb keypads: reallocate workload from overused
little fingers to stronger thumbs.
Vertical, concave key layout: designed for simpler finger
motions. This unique layout shortens reach to distant keys, minimizing
harmful wrist extension.
Integral padded palm supports: reduces arm weight to relax
neck and shoulders.
Low force mechanical key switches: for minimal keying
effort and extremely long life.
The Classic also is packed with productivity features. You can have
24 macros of up to 56 characters to eliminate repetitive typing. You can
set Ctrl, Alt or Shift keys to be "sticky" to eliminate awkward key
combinations.
An optional foot switch lets you perform any two key actions or
macros - for example 10 key numeric users can switch to the numeric pad
with a touch of the foot. You can even switch keyboard configurations
between Dvorak/QWERTY or switch between Mac and PC configurations. Size
is 3" high by 16.5" wide with a depth of 8". Frontal slope is 10º and
lateral tilt is 20º. Windows 95 and NT compatible or MAC and Sun systems

Now graphic
artists or special needs individuals can keyboard effectively with one
hand.
Stick/Finger model too
for special needs individuals.
Choose a right or left hand model
Malrtron single handed keyboards are the ideal tool for keyboarders
who must or who prefer to perform keyboard operations with one hand.
They are great tool for designers and graphic artists who prefer to type
with one hand and keyboard. For people with special needs (for example
with only one hand) this keyboard is far more effective than
conventional keyboards. Considerably less hand travel and hand stress is
experienced.
The special shape and letter layout have been very carefully planned,
taking into account the limited number of keys that can be accessed
quickly and comfortably.
Word-processing input speeds of 60 words per minute have been
demonstrated by operators the Maltron single handed keyboard. The fully
ergonomic shape ensures freedom from strain. No RSI problems have been
reported in over 10 years by keyboarders working entirely by one hand.
Both left and right hand models are offered.
These keyboards have Push-On Push-Off keys for Shift, Control and Alt
functions; essential for single hand operation.
The unique switch able dual layout feature of Maltron keyboards has
now been developed for single-handed keyboards to give an alternative
number entry option. For intensive number work the flat number panel
alongside the letters is not ergonomic and can lead to fatigue as there
is nowhere to rest the hand during pauses. To overcome this problem the
number pad numbers are now also grouped on the letters keys. Either
letters or numbers may be immediately selected by pressing a separate
button. Windows keys are also included.
Self-paced training manuals ensure quick, easy learning. Both screen
and paper based versions are available.
Single
finger or head-movement keyboard model is also available for special
needs individuals.
Single-finger/Stick unit - often mounted vertically.
Maltron single finger or head/mouth stick keyboards
provide a unique shape and keyboard layout. The shape matches head
movement and the key arrangement minimizes finger or stick activity,
raising speed and relieving frustration.
An optional articulated arm holds the keyboard in almost
any position to suit the head or mouth stick use.
Push-On, Push-Off keys are provided for Shift, Control
and Alt.
Maltron keyboards all have the ability to turn off key
repeating at the keyboard if it is not wanted. If allowed by the
software in use, the repeat rate can be set to SLOW, MEDIUM or FAST at
the keyboard.
Single handed unit is $695.00
Finger-stick unit is $695.00
SafeType makes keyboard entry as comfortable as
shaking hands!
This revolutionary
keyboard is the only one that can place the user in anorthopedically neutral position while doing
data entry. It cannot be adjusted improperly
by the user.
Consider the position of your hands typing at a traditional keyboard.
Hands are twisted to fit the keyboard. Holding your wrist in
any position other that flattenedpositon causes what physiologists call
‘static muscle loading’, a constant tension.A side effect of this
tension is reduced muscular waste removal,
discomfort and sometimesit leads to injury.Researchers have demonstrated that complete blockage of nerve
signals can occur when pressure equal to 40mm of Mercury is applied
for an 8-hour period. It takes
only 20 degrees of "twist" to create
this much pressure.In
fact, a complete blockage of nerve signals can occur when hands and
wrists are worked in this position over an 8 hour period.
The
SafeType's unusual design inherently prevents significant wrist
extension. It is the only keyboard noted
in a major university study
to substantially reduce high-stress postures
that contribute to repetitive
stress injuries,
such as carpal tunnel
syndrome.
The
Cornell University study
shows "that the use of a vertical split-keyboard design can
substantially improve typing wrist postures for subjects, both in
terms of flexion/extension and radial/ulnar deviation movements. These
postural improvements occur immediately within the short-term typing
tasks (15 minutes) that were used. These results were obtained for
touch typists who were not experiencing any musculoskeletal problems,
and this represents a 'best-case' scenario for typing
Even though the vertical split-keyboard is
an unfamiliar design there was only a relatively small decrement in
typing performance and a very small difference in error rates between
keyboards. Given the short-term nature of this study it is predicted
that touch typist subjects will quickly master the vertical
split-keyboard because this preserves the familiar QWERTY layout."
Connection: PS2 connection.
Mac users will need an adaptor like a "Y"-Mouse (not included) Operating system compatibility: works with all versions of
Windows since 3.1. Warranty: one year parts replacement
